Yellow Buses 465

465 N465TPR was new in April 1996 as a batch of 22 vehicles new to Yellow Buses Bournemouth. It is one of only 40 Dennis Dart chassis built with this style and width of East Lancs bodies. 465 is fitted with a Cummins B5.9-130 10 engine.

It was delivered standard yellow and blue fleet livery and was branded for the Westbourne Flyer, Route 16 service that operated between Westbourne and Bournemouth Square. In 2005/06 the council owned company was brought by French owned company Transdev, becoming Transdev Yellow Buses.

In 2008/09, 465 was repainted in to Your Bus branded white livery for use for school and college services operated by Transdev Yellow Buses.

In 2010/11, 465 was withdrawn by Transdev Yellow Buses and sold to Gardbus of Ringwood, who operated 465 on Ringwood Town Services.

465 later passed onto A2B travel of Newquay who operated it mostly on school contracts, with the odd working on normal service.

Was later sold again, to Zoar garage of St Keverne, Cornwall, who operated the vehicle on school contracts for a number of years until July 2020.

465 was purchased for preservation by Hants & Bournemouth Bus Preservation Group in July 2020, and returned to Bournemouth. In 2021, 465 had extensive bodywork repairs done by group members, and was repainted into original Bournemouth yellow and blue livery.

465 is named in memory of co-owner Jonathan Martin (A member of staff at Royal Bournemouth Hospital) who sadly passed away in 2021.
