yellow buses 208
This bus was new on 29th February 1988, as part of a batch of 5 vehicles new to Yellow Buses Bournemouth (205-209).
Fitted with destination blinds front and side it arrived in all over yellow livery with brown lettering and wheels. It would be seen on various services across the network but would mainly see use on services 3, 5, 20, 23. The following year in 1989, 5 more join the fleet F210WRU - F214 WRU.
These vehicles were used on front line services until 2005/06 when the takeover of Transdev took place. For a short time 208 remained on front line service until 2008 the introduction of Your Bus, the branding used for school and college services. Some of the E reg batch including 208 and some of the F reg batch were painted into all over white livery with Your Bus Logos, whereas the rest where painted in all over yellow for use on duplicate service and events services until end of 2012.
In 2013 they started to be withdrawn from service, and by the end of 2013 all had been withdrawn by Transdev Yellow Buses, with 208 being the last to leave. 208 was purchased by Fowler's Travel of Holbeach Drove who operated the vehicle until 2015/16. Then sold to Dews Coaches of Somersham for use on schools service they operated the vehicle for a further 3-4 Years.
It was withdrawn in October 2019 and bought for preservation on 12th November 2019 having completed 31 year of active service.
